I have always been best as a "live player" untamed and just pure as the rain can be, playing my music all warts n all (hopefully not too many)...

Folk or roots music wasn't meant to be perfect, edited or the like... Nothing wrong with doing this mind you but.. it is meant to mean something and convey emotion, or that is how I always learned as a child and teen growing up and playing every day. I hope you will like and enjoy my music in these series of off the floor "1st takes".

This is the start of my releasing via Facebook and my website, tracks both my own compositions and old tunes that I have arranged and previously recorded on albums many years ago.

As a welcome and bonus for you my valued listener... I am giving this first piece of the series for free or a donation of your choice if you prefer.
Please enjoy and come back regularly as I will be doing many of these "live pieces".

I recorded and filmed the takes live in a strict "one take" setting recording with an Apogee one and a di through my regular effects pedals from my guitar a Cordoba gk studio negra.

Here is a set of jigs I arranged in 2005 for my album "Irish music from the Dingle peninsula and beyond" released on Gnatbite records and still available from my website www.timedey.co.uk
